El Anatsui (CRF 2001) at Brooklyn Museum

This past Saturday, in New York, a group of Civitella Fellows and friends met at the Brooklyn Museum to view El Anatsui's (CRF 2001) solo exhibition, Gravity and Grace: Monumental Works by El Anatsui.  El gave us a thorough tour of the show, which will be on view until August 4th, and graciously answered our many questions about his work, its history, and his working process.  Approximately 30 people came for the tour, and other exhibition-goers gathered around as well to hear El speak about the show.
