The Bridge Book Award at Civitella Ranieri

This year's winners of the Bridge Book Award read from their work and fielded questions from the public in the castle library last Wednesday, 25 October. Representatives of the American Embassy in Rome were in attendance for the event.

Georgetown Professor Anna Harwell Celenza, winner of the Non-Fiction section,
read from the prologue of her book Jazz Italian Style: From its Origins
in New Orleans to Fascist Italy and Sinatra.

Jennifer Haigh, winner of the Fiction section, read from
her book Heat & Light.

The two authors answered questions from the audience after the readings.
