G. Mend-Ooyo (CRF 2014) and Civitella Executive Director Dana Prescott |
Civitella Ranieri Executive Director Dana Prescott joined 160 international poets in Ulaanbataar this week thanks to a kind invitation from G. Mend-Ooyo (CRF 2014). In his welcoming speech, Mend-Ooyo thanked everyone for 'sharing words from their hearts' and to 'opening one's senses to the mysteries and beauty of Mongolia.' A program of music, throat singing, and traditional dance followed a banquet. The conference will include several days in the Gobi desert where poetry and book presentations will continue and Mend-Ooyo will introduce us to nomadic life and site visits to 'expand untapped energies.'
