On Friday, April 28, Civitella Ranieri hosted a screening of House Hunters International Season 94 Episode 1: “A California Couple Leaves Careers for Life in Umbria, Italy.” Over 70 people turned out for the event. The evening consisted of a welcome from Marco Locchi, Mayor of Umbertide followed by an overview of the Grand Tour and Italy as a Lure for Foreigners by the Civitella Ranieri Executive Director, Dana Prescott. Diego Mencaroni, Civitella Ranieri Program Coordinator, presented A Brief Social History of Umbria (from After the War to the Economic Boom). We held a panel discussion: Making a Home in Umbria with Susan Pohl, Cleo Polveroni, and Joseph Roveto.
Finally, we screened the House Hunters International episode in which the couple comes to Umbria.
