Jay Reed Presentation

On June 23rd, classicist Jay Reed (Director's Guest 2016) shared his research with the Civitella community in a lecture entitled "Augustus and Egypt in Ancient Poetry." In his talk, Jay explored the significance of Egyptian influences on Imperial Rome through close readings of texts such as Virgil's Georgics.
