Group Two Short Presentations

On June 20th, the Friends of Civitella joined the second group of Civitella residents in the castle library to learn about the Fellows' lives and work. Jeff Albucher and Judith Klinger, heads of the Friends of Civitella, ushered in the second cohort with warm opening remarks, and Executive Director Dana Prescott introduced each new member of the group to the community.
Composer Lu Wang (CRF 2016) shares excerpts of orchestral and chamber works such as "Wailing" (2008) and "Siren Song" (2008), which unite her exposure to Western music traditions with her rural Chinese background.
Poet Ross Gay (CRF 2016) explores immigration, fertility, and difference in his reading of "To the Fig Tree on 9th and Christian," from Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude (2015).
