Claire Chase in Rome

On July 14^th, flautist and MacArthur awardee, Claire Chase, performed at Civitella, playing compositions by Civitella Fellows.  She was joined by Okkyung Lee (CRF2015) on cello and Pauline Oliveros (CRF2015) in an improvised piece by Pauline Oliveros.  On July 16^th, several Civitellians met up in Rome to see Claire perform again, this time in a concert co-sponsored by Civitella Ranieri, ICE, the American Academy and the Government of Brazil at the Brazilian Embassy in Piazza Navona.
