Kit White Joins Civitella Board of Directors

Civitella is pleased to announce that Kit White (Director's Guest 2010) has joined our Board of Directors.

Kit is a painter who currently lives and works in New York City.  His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and is in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Johnson Art Museum at Cornell University, among many others.  He has taught at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.  In 2011, his book 101 Things to Learn in Art School was published by MIT Press.

Kit and his wife, writer Andrea Barnet, were Director's Guests at Civitella in 2010; they also served as Guest Directors during the second session of 2013 while Executive Director Dana Prescott was on sabbatical. His experience as an artist and educator, as well as his longstanding relationship with Civitella, make him a valuable addition to our Board.
