Fred Ho's Final Shows

The Fred Ho (CRF 2001) Big Band kicks off its Red, Black, And Green Revolutionary Eco-Music Big Band Tour next week.  They will launch the tour with two shows in New York, featuring the music of Fred Ho and Cal Massey, and they are asking any and all who are available to join them.

Fred has been battling terminal cancer for some time now and recently entered hospice.  These will probably be the final performances of Fred's music during his life, and his friends and family are rallying to honor him with their attendance.

The concerts will be performed in honor of Black History Month and seek to connect the politics and struggles of the Civil Rights Movement and Black Liberation to contemporary ecological issues of sustainability.  If you are available, we urge you to take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate a talented and revolutionary composer, musician, and thinker by attending one of these performances.
