On Friday, January 17, Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory in Boston hosted Triple Threat: Three World Premieres. It was a big night for Civitellians, with compositions by David Rakowski (CRF 2008) and Ken Ueno (CRF 2013) accounting for two of the three pieces performed. A conversation in which the composers discussed their work preceded the premieres.
Ken composed his piece, Hapax Legomenon, A Concerto for Two-Bow Cello, during his residency at Civitella. David's composition Piano Concerto No. 2 closed out the concert. Miguel Syjuco (CRF 2013) was in attendance to cheer for his fellow Civitellians and sent us these great photos.
