Excursion to Gubbio for the Ceri Festival
On Wednesday, May 15th, Civitella Ranieri Fellows and Director's Guests took part in the Ceri Festival, the renowned 'run' in Gubbio, held in honor of its patron Saint Ubaldo. The three 'Ceri', nearly 525 pounds each, are raced through the town and up the mountain, carried by groups of twenty men. This time honored tradition dates back to the Middle Ages.
