Dear Friends (and friends of friends),
I am hunting for a cozy, safe, clean house-sitting or furnished sublet arrangement in Manhattan or DUMBO for this coming June. I will be participating in a intensive art course through California College of the Arts (as part of my MFA program). I will have a working studio in the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) district. A high priority is easy transport access via MTA between Manhattan and Dumbo. Air conditioning, wifi and working kitchen are essential features. A studio or 1 bedroom is all I need.
I am a 53-year old artist (new to making art, but well-seasoned otherwise). You need not worry about paint supplies on the curtains or in the sinks. Or late night parties on the balcony. I will be making art at my studio, and I am an early riser. My class will spend ⅓ of our time in the studio, ⅓ visiting the studios of established New York artists and ⅓ attending gallery openings, museums and living the nightlife. It should be an exciting and full month. As a homeowner myself I will respectfully treat your home as though it were mine. I will water pets and walk plants.
