This winter it snowed three times at Civitella Ranieri. Maurizio's daughter, Gloria, took these two photos from the window of their home in the wall of the gate. The first shot, taken while the snow was coming down, really captures the still silence of this highly unusual occurance. We often get snow, but it doesn't last long, or typically turns to rain. The second shot, taken the morning after, reveals a brilliant blue sky and shows Maurizio's footsteps on the path. As always, he was already up and about to walk the grounds and check for any damages (there were none).
