2010 Music Residency at Civitella offered by application

Our collaboration with The UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme creates an opportunity for composers to apply for a residency at the Civitella Ranieri Center in 2010.

The Civitella Ranieri Foundation will provide one selected UNESCO-Aschberg Laureate with an apartment, studio space with piano, and two meals six days per week for a six-week residency. UNESCO will provide round trip air travel to Rome from the country of origin. The Laureate may chose from one of four sessions in our residency season running from May through October, 2010.

Eligibility: The UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme is open to international professional composers, except for those living within the United States and the United Kingdom. Candidates must be between 25 – 35 years of age.

The announcement was officially made on the UNESCO website on September 2nd and the deadline will be October 31st, 2009. The Laureate will be contacted in Jaunary 2010.

To request an application, email civitella@civitella.org.
